lagu jiwang pertama yang dihasilkan oleh metallica adalah 'fade to black'. salah satu lagu metallica yang mampu mengembalikan nostalgia hidup aku. ia sebahagian dari ramuan sejarah hidup aku. itulah nilainya. 

kira-kira lebih 13 tahun lalu, apabila dunia aku gelap diselubungi masalah, lagu ini punyai daya yang cukup untuk memaksa jiwa aku mengalirkan air mata. masih tak pernah aku lupa riff outronya, seakan-akan kuda yang berlari pantas mengeluarkan aku dari realiti yang mengecewakan. aku terbayang seperti ada gesekan violin indah yang tidak pernah berhenti mengeringi larian iramanya. tidak putus-putus. itulah nilainya.

oh, ia hanyalah sebuah nota bunuh diri yang indah.
